GAT Test Preparation Tips For You

GAT is very important test for your future and you should take all the tips and help available. Here are some of the basic tips that can help you in getting a high score.

Register Early

You should register early to get your choice of date and venue. Delaying until last days may result in no appointments situation for your date and venue. Delay has one more consequence that it will also delay the score information for your graduate school GRE requirement.

Practice makes it perfect

Practice with all the resources you can get your hands on like free study guides, sample questions, paid study guide and books. All material should be consulted in order to get familiar with the test. Practicing ahead will help you avoid any minute surprise and frustration. Practicing under timed conditions allows you to estimate your pace of answering questions which will be very helpful in actual test.

Remember to answer all the questions as GRE score is based on the total questions answered and total correct answers.

Make a Strategy

In order to accomplish any task successfully you should have a well defined strategy. Make a proper time table for your study and answering the questions in actual examination. Have your strategy worked out before the exam itself so that time is not wasted in devising a strategy in the actual GRE test.

Paper based Test

Paper tests are are held in November, February and April of a year and registration for these closes one or two months before the tests.

Computer Based Tests

You can take the computer based General Test once per calendar month up to five times in a 12-month period. The paper based tests are held on fixed dates in October, November, February and April of every year. For exact dates and registration information you should look at the GRE website.
